"Our stay was top-notch and we plan on a return visit in the future. We loved the cleanliness and comfort of the Chanler and our accommodations at the Inn were superb. We stayed in the Federal room which was very inviting and comfortable. I loved the attention to detail from the Mozart music playing in the background to the chocolate covered pears waiting upon our arrival. Had we not stayed overnight, the trip from Long Island to the Spiced Pear restaurant alone would have been worth the trip."

"This was the most incredible two night stay I have ever had. Every single person was so nice, so accommodating and made us feel special. Every detail was perfect - we ate breakfast and lunch at the Veranda and loved it. The bath butler service was so romantic and relaxing, it was so much more than I imagined it could be. I don't think I ever opened a door myself! The car service was amazing. The entire trip was better knowing we didn't have to drive anywhere. Eddie gave us some great ideas on what to do and where to go. Loved the location on the cliff walk. Even enjoyed sitting out on the Adirondack chairs enjoying the view and sound of the ocean. My husband and I are already looking forward to coming back next summer. I even enjoyed our treats on our bed each evening and the Molton Brown bath products! True luxury. "The Chanler's have great decor in every room and very conformable, from bedrooms, bar to the restaurant. Being right next to the Cliff Walk I am able to do my morning exercise run down to Rough Point and back. All the staff are great, kind, courteous, and attentive. I always have a great stay as well as visiting the Spice Pear year round. You can't ask for any better elegance in any room that you will staying. "My wife and I regularly visit Newport and most often spend the night as we drive down from Boston. On this occasion we were only planning on spending the day, however; thought we might investigate the options. So feeling as though we might just drive back that night we felt the need to give the Chanler a call and check on the availability. As it turned out, a villa was available and after speaking with the wonderful reservations/front desk representative we booked the one night. As this was our first stay, everything was explained and we were personally escorted. During the escort, features such as the jacuzzi, fireplace and mini bar were pointed out. We took advantage of the house car for drop off and pick up service in order to have dinner and drinks downtown. This is a great feature and one we greatly appreciate. During our dinner I called the hotel and requested a bottle of Champagne to be delivered to our room when we returned. As requested everything was in place. We had a great night enjoying our own private villa under the stars. As a manager at a luxury hotel in Boston; I recognize excellent service and unless I stay at a sister property, I am most often disappointed with the service I receive at most other hotels. This was a much needed getaway for my wife and I as we had both finished a very busy month of long days and long weeks and not being able to see each other that much. Your property offered wonderful service and a relaxing atmosphere. It was perfect for our little overnight retreat. We went home and told all of our friends and family and will definitely make the Chanler our ONLY Newport destination from now on!"
