Overlooking Cliff Walk and Easton’s Bay, Cara invites guests to experience an evening shaped by the rhythm of the coast and the creativity of the kitchen. Here, Chef Jacob Jasinski and his culinary team guide guests through a 5 or 8-course blind tasting that unfolds one course at a time. Each dish is presented as it leaves the kitchen, creating a natural dialogue between chef and guest.
This menuless experience changes nightly, allowing the kitchen to cook with what arrives that day from local fishermen, farmers, and ranchers. The result is a thoughtful progression of dishes that reflect the season, the sea just beyond the windows, and a refined European approach to craft.
Honored with the AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star distinctions, and recognized with Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, Cara has become a table many consider the evening’s main event in Newport.
5:00 pm: Five-Course Blind Tasting Menu, $185 per person ++
8:00 pm: Eight-Course Blind Tasting Menu, $245 per person ++
Due to the intimate nature of the experience, full prepayment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
Chef blind tastings include both meat and seafood. For severe allergies, multiple restrictions, vegetarians, or vegans, we recommend dining at Remy's Loose.
