Things to Do in Newport in the Spring

Activities for Your New England Spring Getaways

Newport truly blooms during the spring. With the awakening of the daffodils throughout Newport and on the Cliff Walk, Newport becomes a vibrant town by the sea. Explore all of nature's glory with great outdoor activities or by taking a scenic drive along Bellevue Avenue and Ocean Drive. As the weather gets warmer, we recommend going for a bicycle ride to explore Newport. The Chanler's exclusive collaboration with Tokyobikes provides complimentary bicycle service, complete with stylish helmets, bells and Nantucket baskets that can hold a picnic lunch

Check out our recommendations below for our favorite things to do in Newport during the Spring.

Exploring Nature

The Cliff Walk & Easton's Beach

Due to our unique location right along Easton's Beach and at the start of The Cliff Walk, the Spring is the perfect season to visit The Chanler. The Cliff Walk is a 3.5 mile trail along the rocky shoreline of Newport. Offering unique views of Newport's nature as well as the many architectural wonders of the Gilded Age, The Cliff Walk gives visitors a true look into Newport life. On warmer days, Easton's Beach, only a short walk from your guest room, is the perfect location for a sunrise stroll or a picnic lunch.
