Perched above the Atlantic along Newport’s Cliff Walk, The Chanler offers the rare opportunity to reserve the entire house for a private wedding weekend. With just twenty guest rooms, the experience becomes deeply personal. Family and closest friends gather under one roof, sharing quiet mornings, walks along the Cliff Walk, long dinners, and the anticipation of the celebration to come.
Ceremonies unfold on the terrace overlooking the sea. Receptions move through the garden and into candlelit rooms within the house. Throughout the weekend, the house becomes yours, allowing every moment to feel relaxed, intimate, and unhurried.
Within the house, The Chanler can host celebrations for up to 100 guests. For weddings with larger guest lists of 120 or more, couples may choose an elegant tented celebration on the Cliff Lawn or Meadow Lawn, where the ocean and open sky become part of the setting.
Weekend celebrations are designed as a full-house experience, with a two-night stay and a minimum of twenty guest rooms reserved for your wedding party and closest family.

Versatile Venue
Our event spaces offer a range of elegant settings to suit any occasion. The intimate Board Room is perfect for meetings or private dinners, with seating for up to 8 guests. For slightly larger gatherings, The Terrace, with its stunning Atlantic views, offers an exceptional venue for up to 80 guests. For grander events, the Meadow Lawn can host up to 140 guests, and the Cliff Lawn, complete with an elegant terrace and indoor space, can accommodate up to 200. Please note that weekends require a two-night minimum for all 20 guest rooms. Whether for a business retreat, a small dinner, or a grand celebration, each space provides a refined atmosphere to make your event unforgettable.
