Getting Here

From Boston

Approximately 90 minutes by car, Newport is reached via Interstate 93 South and I-95 South toward Rhode Island, continuing onto Route 24 South to Newport.

From New York City

Located approximately three and a half hours from Manhattan by car, Newport is accessible via I-95 North through Connecticut and Rhode Island. Private helicopter charters with Wings Air may also be arranged for arrival along the Newport coast.

From T. F. Green Airport

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport is located approximately 30 minutes from The Chanler. Guests reserving the Ride, Stay & Play package enjoy complimentary transportation to and from the airport.

From Kingston Station

Amtrak service to Kingston Station offers a convenient rail connection to Newport from both Boston and New York City. Located approximately 35 minutes from the hotel, complimentary transportation to and from the station is included with the Ride, Stay & Play package.
